This Privacy Policy explains how LinkQuiz (the “App”) collects, uses, and shares
information. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2) Information we collect
A. Information you provide
Account: The App creates an anonymous account with a randomly generated Firebase
user ID. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we also receive, depending on your provider settings,
basic profile details (e.g., display name, email).
Game progress: Your progress is saved to Firebase Cloud Firestore under your user ID,
so it can be restored and synced across devices: coins, quest and level progress, statistics,
achievements, daily challenge results, bookmarks, items you bought with coins, some game settings
and, if you set one, your nickname.
Support: Any info you include when you contact us.
In-app feedback: The message you write in the feedback form, your answer to the
“How’s LinkQuiz so far?” question and, only if you enter it, your email address so we can reply.
It is stored on our server together with your user ID, game level, language, app version and
platform.
B. Information collected automatically
Gameplay logs (our server, linkquiz.app): While you play, the App sends us your
answers (the question shown, the options, your answer, whether it was right, the time taken and
hints used) and game events (sessions started, games started and finished, screens opened, levels
completed, coins spent in the shop, settings you change, your answer to the reminders question).
Each log carries your user ID, a session ID, your game level, the app version, the platform (iOS or
Android) and the app language. Our server also receives the IP address of each request and stores it
with the log; we use it only to see which country players come from. We use these logs to balance
and improve the game, never for advertising, and we do not share them.
Crash & diagnostics: Via Firebase Crashlytics (device model, OS version, app
version, country/region inferred from IP, crash traces, and limited device identifiers used for
debugging). The App also sends error reports to our server (the error message, app version and your
user ID).
Purchases: RevenueCat uses purchase identifiers and receipts to unlock and restore
the Advanced History pack.
Content requests: Questions, pictures and article texts are loaded from Wikipedia
and Wikimedia servers and from our content servers (linkquiz.app and cdn.linkquiz.app, hosted on
Firebase Hosting). Like any web request, these receive your IP address; no account data is sent with
them.
C. What we do not collect
No advertising SDKs, no advertising ID, no personalized ads, and no cross-app tracking.
No precise location, contacts, photos or other files.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. If you allow them, no
push token or notification data is sent to us.
D. Services we use
Firebase Authentication (Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, Anonymous) — account and
session management.
Firebase Cloud Firestore — saving and syncing your game progress.
Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports and stability diagnostics.
Firebase Hosting — delivery of game content (question packs, daily challenges).
RevenueCat — purchase receipts and entitlements for the optional Advanced
History pack.
Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing (we do not receive your full
payment card details).
Wikipedia / Wikimedia — public article texts and images used for questions.
These services process data under their own privacy terms as independent controllers or processors.
3) Why we process data (legal bases)
Provide and operate the App & your purchases (performance of a contract) —
account sign-in, saving and syncing your progress, entitlement checks, restoring purchases.
App safety, debugging, and improvement (legitimate interests) — gameplay logs, crash
and error reports, and in-app feedback, used to fix problems and balance the game.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. RevenueCat securely validates receipts and keeps your
entitlements (e.g., Advanced History pack) in sync across devices. We can see whether you own a
product, but not your full payment details. Coins are earned in the game and cannot be bought.
5) Children’s privacy
LinkQuiz is a general-audience (13+) app. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a
child has provided personal data, contact us to delete it.
6) Sharing of information
Service providers / processors: Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore,
Crashlytics, Hosting), RevenueCat and the hosting provider of our server, only to operate the
App.
Platform providers: Apple and Google for sign-in and purchases.
Legal/safety: Authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Business transfer: If the App is sold or merged, information may transfer under
this Policy.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for
cross-context behavioral advertising.
7) International transfers
Services like Firebase and RevenueCat may process data outside the EEA (e.g., the U.S.). When required,
appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are used.
8) Data retention
Account and game progress (Firebase): kept while your account exists; deleted when
you delete your account.
Gameplay logs (our server): kept while they help us improve the game; ask us to
delete yours at any time.
Purchases/Entitlements (RevenueCat): kept while needed to honor purchases and
legal/accounting requirements.
Crash logs (Crashlytics): typically kept up to 90 days (or the service
default necessary for stability analysis).
Support emails: up to 2 years after closure.
In-app feedback: up to 2 years; ask us to delete it sooner at any
time.
When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized.
9) Your rights and deleting your data
Depending on your location (e.g., EU/EEA/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete,
restrict, object, port your data, and withdraw consent (where consent is used).
Deleting your account in the App: Settings → delete account removes your Firebase
account and your saved game progress.
Gameplay logs and everything else: Email maximuz.apps@gmail.com and we will delete your gameplay
logs, feedback and other data we control, and invalidate RevenueCat entitlements where applicable
(without affecting your store purchase history). Write from the address linked to your account if you
signed in; we may need to verify your identity.
10) Security
We use administrative and technical measures appropriate to the risk (e.g., encryption in transit, access
controls, least-privilege). No method is 100% secure.
11) Third-party links & content
The App shows content from Wikipedia, available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike
license. “Read more” links open Wikipedia in your browser, where the Wikimedia Foundation’s privacy
policy applies. External content is governed by third-party terms and privacy practices.
12) US state notices
We disclose the categories described above for the business purposes in this Policy. We do not sell
personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising. You may request access, deletion, or
correction by email.
13) Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and show changes in-app or on the listing, where
appropriate.
